Order & Delivery Platform
01Project Overview
02The Challenge
A marketplace of this kind only works when several very different experiences click together perfectly. The core engineering challenges were:
- Integrating multiple user roles, each with a distinct workflow, into one coherent system.
- Delivering real-time order tracking that stays accurate as conditions change.
- Processing secure payments reliably and safely for every transaction.
- Sustaining scalable performance under heavy, spiky user traffic.
- Keeping each role's app simple despite the complexity underneath.
Success meant hiding all of that complexity behind experiences that simply feel fast and dependable.
03Our Approach
We engineered the platform for real time and scale from the ground up:
- Built a robust microservices backend so each capability can scale independently.
- Used WebSockets to push live order and location updates the instant they happen.
- Created dedicated apps for each role — home chefs, customers, and delivery partners.
- Integrated secure payments and Google Maps routing as first-class capabilities.
- Designed the infrastructure to absorb heavy concurrent traffic without degrading.
04The Solution
Home Chefs · Web
Set up kitchens and menus, manage listings, and handle incoming orders from a dedicated web app.
Customers · Mobile
Browse chefs, place orders, pay securely, and track their delivery live from a mobile app.
Delivery Partners · Mobile
Receive assignments, follow Google Maps-optimized routes, and update delivery status on the go.
Super Admin · Web
Oversee the entire marketplace — users, chefs, orders, and operations — from a central control panel.
05How It Works
Beneath the four apps sits a real-time, service-oriented backend. Orders, payments, and locations flow through independent services and stream live to every participant.
